Staff Report
SUBJECT:
Resolution authorizing and directing the execution of a quitclaim deed for a sewer easement
located east of Waterman Avenue, between Industrial Road and Commercial Road.
BACKGROUND:
On July 9, 2007, this office received a request to quitclaim a sewer easement relative to the
relocation of a sewer line located east of Waterman Avenue, between Industrial Road and
Commercial Road. This easement was dedicated to the City on the map of Tract No. 6548,
recorded in August of 1962.
A new tract map, Tract No. 18083, was recently recorded over this area by the owner, Waterman
BP, LLC, who has requested the quitclaim through the developer of this site, 7th Street
Development. The area is being developed for industrial and office use, known as the Waterman
Business Center. As part of the development, a new sewer line was installed west of the old line
and a new easement was granted to the City on the map of Tract No. 18083. There were no funds
paid by the City for the original easement and the developer has installed the new line at its
expense. The attached map delineates the easement proposed to be quitclaimed, as well as the
new easement. A vicinity map is also attached, showing the general area of this proposal.
The attached resolution authorizes and directs the execution of a quitclaim deed, conveying the
City's easement back to the property owner.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF QUITCLAIM DEED FOR A SEWER EASEMENT,
TO WATERMAN BP, LLC, GENERALLY LOCATED EAST OF WATERMAN AVENUE
BETWEEN INDUSTRIAL ROAD AND COMMERCIAL ROAD.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City, a Quitclaim Deed for a sewer easement, to Waterman BP,
LLC, generally located east of Waterman A venue between Industrial Road and Commercial Road,
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof.
