STAFF REPORT
Subiect:
Set luncheon workshop for April 2, 2001 at 12:00 p.m. to discuss free access to the Internet and other
free computing services available at the Library.
Backaround:
During the past year, the Library has implemented a Technology Plan, which includes a public access
catalog and free public access computers at the Feldheym Central Library and its three branch
libraries. This plan incorporates free Internet access, an upgraded computer learning center with
twenty (20) state-of-the-art computer workstations, free classes for the public, and access to full-text
electronic databases at all locations.
Financiallmoact:
None at this time.
Recommendation:
This is intended as an informational session to bring the Mayor and Council members up-to-date on
recent technology enhancements at the San Bernardino Public Library, which will result in the provision
of better service to the City's residents.
