2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ADDING
SECTION 19.22.080(7) AND AMENDING SECTION 19.22.150 OF THE SAN
3 BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE (DEVELOPMENT CODE) RELATED TO
SIGNAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SAN BERNARDINO INTERNATIONAL
4 AIRPORT AND ALLIANCE CALIFORNIA SPECIFIC PLAN AREA.
5 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
6 BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION 1. Section 19.22.080, Off-Site Signs, of the Municipal Code
8 (Development Code) is amended to add subsection (7), San Bernardino International
9 Airport and Alliance California Specific Plan Area Signs as shown in Attachment I

attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

SECTION 2. Section 19.22.150, Table 022.01, Sign Regulations By Land Use
13 Category, is amended to add Airport to the Commercial Office (B) and Commercial &
14 Industrial Districts (C) subsections.
15 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event that any provision of this Ordinance, or
16 any part thereof, or any application thereof to any person or circumstance, is for any
17
reason held to be unconstitutional or otherwise invalid or ineffective by any court of
18
19
competent jurisdiction on its face or as applied, such holding shall not affect the validity
20 or effectiveness of any of the remaining provisions of this Ordinance, or any part thereof,
21 or any application thereof to any person or circumstance or of said provision as applied to
22 any other person or circumstance. It is hereby declared to be the legislative intent of the

City that this Ordinance would have been adopted had such unconstitutional, invalid, or
ineffective provision not been included herein.

CHAPTER 19.06
COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS
Specifically, the proposed amendment shall modify the following:
I. Section 19.22.080, Off-Site Signs, is amended to add subsection (7) to read:
7. SAN BERNARDINO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT & ALLiANCE CALIFORNIA
SPECIFIC PLAN AREA SIGNS
Off-site business identification and directional signs are permitted subject to approval
of a Sign Program. This includes businesses in the Airport or Specific Plan area, as
determined by the Inland Valley Development Agency/San Bernardino International
Airport Authority.
II. Section 19.22.150, Table 022.01, Sign Regulations by Land Use Category is amended to add
Airport to the Commercial Office (B) and Commercial & Industrial Districts (C) subsections.
