MOTION: That the Community Development Commission approve contract with Megaforces
Security for one year, located at 255 North "0" Street San Bernardino, CA 92401
for the provision of security services for one year at Court Street Square and
Court Street Parking Lot in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00 as per the
approved budget. The $50,000.00 will cover a full year thrOyg!l~~~

STAFF REPORT
Agreement between Main Street and Megaforces Security
for the provision of Security Services for Court Street Square
BACKGROUND
Megaforces Security, a San Bernardino minority owned company located at 255 North "0"
Street, San Bernardino, CA 92401 is the current provider of security service to Court Street
Square. We have thus far been very satisfied with the efficient and professional product provided
by Megaforces.
Court Street Square security services were provided for in the 1994/1995 Main Street Budget
approved July 21, 1994.
Main Street solicited three bids from local security companies, Wells Fargo, Pinnacle and
Megaforces. The price per hour quoted was as follows. Wells Fargo $8.05 per hour, Megaforces
$8.25 per hour, Pinnacle $9.80 per hour. The contract was awarded to Megaforces because of the
company's superior level of service and responsibility, especially when compared to the
unsatisfactory experiences Main Street has had with the low bid company which they have also
used in the past.
RECOMMENDATION
Main Street recommends adoption of the motion that Megaforces Security be contracted to
provide security to Court Street Square in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00
