The project consists, in general, of installing a 27 - 36-inch sewer line, in accordance with the Sewer Master Plan. Santa Fe Railway has been conditioned to construct the "I" Street Master Plan Storm Drain in connection with development of their "A" Yard. They have requested that this storm drain be included in our contract for Phase I of the Northwest Interceptor Sewer. An agreement is being negotiated to stipulate the duties and responsibilities of each party. This storm drain will be 36 inches in diameter at the point it exits Santa Fe's "A" Yard, and will increase to 45 inches at its connection with the East Branch Lytle Creek Flood Control Channel. Santa Fe has requested that the City finance the cost for oversizing the storm drain in excess of 36 inches, since the increase in pipe size is to pick up storm water flowing in the intersecting streets. Below is an estimate of the total project cost: Interceptor Storm Sewer Drain Total Construction' Contract $ 477,260 $ 393,452 $ 870,712 Consultant's Design 65,290 N/A 65,290 Fee Construction Inspec- 42,400 19,700 61,100 tion (W.O. #1525) Sub-Total $ 584,950 $ 413,152 $ 998,102 Congingencies (15%) :t 87,742 61,973 149,715 TOTAL ESTIMATED COSTS $ 672,692 $ 475,125 $1,147,817 We estimate the total . cost of the storm drain will be financed as follows: Santa Fe (36-inch pipe) City of S.B.
