Recommended motion:
1.
That the expenditure of $190,000, from Account No. 132-000-
3405, "Fund Balance Sewer Line Maintenance Fund," for
rehabilitation of sewer manholes, be approved.
2.
AND
That the plans for rehabilitation of 121 sewer manholes, in
accordance with Plan No. 9244, be approved; and the Director of
Public Works/City Engineer be authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans have been prepared by the Engineering Division for
rehabilitation of approximately 121 sewer manholes. These man-
holes have been identified by the Department of Public Services
.as in need of rehabilitation. The project consists, in general,
of rehabilitating about 121 sewer manholes by applying a coating
to provide reinforcement, by one of three alternate methods, due
to the deterioration as a result of the presence of sewer gasses.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Contract cost $ 164,800
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. * 16,200
Sub-Total $ 181,000
Contingencies (5 ):!: 9,000
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 190,000
All costs incurred for this project will be financed from
the unfunded balance in Account No. 132-000-3405.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
