Finance: Council Notes: 75-0262 Agenda Item No. ~o ~ITY OF SAN BER~RDINO - REQUEST 'OR COUNCIL ACTION . , STAFF REPORT This Resolution confirms the Assessment Roll and approves the Assessment Diagram Map No. 1004 for the installation traffic signals, street lights and appurtenant facilities in portions of Commercenter East and Hospitality Lane. On March 16, 1991, Resolution of Intention No. 91-91 was adopted which instituted formal proceedings to form an assessment district in the Commercenter East and Hospitality Lane area for the installation of traffic signals, street lights and appurtenant facilities. All the requirements of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code were fulfilled, and on April 15, 1991, the Resolution ordering work was adopted. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT ROLL NO. 1004 FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF PORTIONS OF COMMERCENTER EAST AND HOSPITALITY LANE, IN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AND APPROVING ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM MAP NO.1004. WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino on March 18, 1991, adopted its Resolution of Intention No.91-91, to order the work described therein to be done under the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino City Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council on March 18, 1991, approved the Engineer's Report on the proposed assessment district, which report includes a proposed assessment roll and Assessment District Map relative to Assessment District No. 1004: and WlffiREAS, pursuant to said Resolution of Intention No. 91-91, a hearing was set for April 15, 1991, at which time and place written objections and protests to the proposed improvement, the extent of the district, or to the assessment district itself were heard and considered and overruled: and WHEREAS, the construction has been completed and total construction costs have been incurred of $59,741.48, with incidental expenses of $7,521.17, totaling $67,262.65, which total construction costs are hereby approved. The spread of these construction costs by individual parcels is established herein on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, which sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the parcels of land within Assessment District 1004 and as shown on said assessment diagram map to meet total construction costs: and III 02-10-92 II III RESOLUTION C~IRMING ROLL AD 1004 . 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, recognizing that the total construction cost will be collected over a period of ten years at 10% interest per annum on the unpaid balance, the Mayor and Common Council do determine that $13,452.22 to cover one-tenth of total construction costs, including interest, must be spread to individual parcels for 1992-93, and have been spread over the individual parcels as set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto, which together with Exhibit "B", is hereby declared to be the Assessment District No.1004 Roll for 1992-93 for the Commercenter East Signalization District. NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and determine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of land within Assessment District No. 1004 are correctly set forth on Assessment Roll No. 1004 for the fiscal year 1992-93, Commercenter East Signalization District, designated as Exhibit "A" for total costs of one year's construction costs, including incidentals and interest, and as Exhibit "B" for the spreading of the total construction costs, including incidentals, respectively, over the individual parcels, which Exhibits are attached hereto and are incorporated herein by reference, and the Mayor and Common Council do hereby confirm said assessments. SECTION 2. approved. That said Assessment Diagram Map No. 1004 is hereby SECTION 3.
