Staff Report
SUBJECT:
Set budget workshop for either Monday, January 13,2003 at 9:00 a.m., or Monday, January
27,2003 at 9:00 a.m. in the Economic Development Agency boardroom to review the Fiscal
Year 2002/2003 City and Economic Development Agency budgets.
BACKGROUND:
At the direction of Council, requests to schedule workshops during Council meetings shall be
approved by Council prior to agendizing the workshop.
The Council/Community Development Commission adopted the Fiscal Year 2002/2003 City and
Economic Development Agency budgets at the Joint Adjourned Regular Meeting on June 25,
2002. During the budget process, Council directed that the 2002/2003 budget be revisited once
the FY 2001/2002 City audit has been completed and the State budget has been finalized.
Since that time, concerns over the State budget have been raised. The need to have a budget
workshop has been discussed both at Council meetings and Ways and Means Committee
meetings.
FINANCIAL IMP ACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Set Budget Workshop - January 13'\ or January 27th, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. in the Economic
Development boardroom to review the FY 2002/2003 City and Economic Development Agency
budgets.
