Synopsis of Previous Council action:
State laws are rapidly changing that will require local government to better
provide for the "Homeless".
According to the newsmedia, our area has received several grants to provide
for the homeless. My concern is that the grant money may be used to purchase all
of the homes in the City of San Bernardino. The plight of the homeless is a
regional problem and should be dealt as such.
Recommended moti.on:
Direct the Mayor to bring the issue of the homeless to SANBAG, that an Ad-Hoc
Committee of SAN BAG be formed to address this'regional problem. That our Mayor
insist on goals and tim~able that will address the problem as soon as possible.
