RESOLUTI ON NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
J & R LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE COMPANY FOR MAINTENANCE OF LANDSCAPING IN PARKING
LOTS FOR CENTRAL CITY MALL, INSIDE CENTRAL CITY MALL, CENTRAL CITY PARKING
DISTRICT LOTS NO.1, 2 & 3, AREAS ADJACENT TO CITY HALL, CENTRAL CITY WEST,
ANIMAL SHELTER, "E" STREET MEDIAN, SECOND STREET t1EDIAN, "E" STREET
BEAUTIFICATION, CENTRAL LIBRARY, THIRD-FOURTH STREET MEDIAN, AND POLICE
DEPARTMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. J & R Landscape Maintenance Company is the lowest
responsible bidder for construction of a public project, to-wit: Maintenance
of landscaping in Parking Lots for Central City Mall, Central City Parking
District Lots No.1, 2 & 3, areas adjacent to City Hall, Central City West,
inside Central City Mall, adjacent to Animal Shelter, "E" Street Median,
Second Street Median, "E" Street Beautification, Central Library, Third-
Fourth Street Median, and Police Department, in accordance with Plan No. 6735
(1986-87) for the total amount of $ 76,500.00, a contract is awarded to said
bidder accordingly for the Base Bid, and Additive Alternate Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4,
5 and 6, but such award shall be effective only upon the contract being
fully executed by the parties; all other bids therefor are hereby rejected;
and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract on
behalf of the City; a copy of the contract is attached hereto, marked Exhibit
"A" and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at
length.
SECTION 2. The contract authorized by this resolution shall not
take effect until fully signed and executed by both parties. Neither party
shall be obligated hereunder unless and until the contract is fully executed
and no oral agreement thereto shall be implied or authorized.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted
by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof, held on the
