RESOLl1~'!ON OF 'i'lll'; CI'l'Y OF SAN. BERNARDINO FINDING THE VALUE
OF WRITTEN PROTESTS AND ORDERING MUNICIPAL REORGANIZATION NO.
LAFC 2372 FOR THE ANNEXATION OF INHABITED TERRITORY LOCATED
GENERALLY BETWEEN WATERMAN AVENUE AND PEDLEY LANE, AND BETWEEN
THIRD AND NINTH STREETS, SUBJECT TO CONFIRMATION OF VOTERS WITHIN
'I'H"' Ar')"),V,.};lJ ~1'1:1:J.;nCRIES AND TO THE CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN
RESOLUTION NO. 2036 OF THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION;
CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION AND REQUESTING CONSOLIDATION WITH THE
GENERAL ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 4, 1986.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARD HI(l AS f'OJ.J .0\'18 :
SECTION 1. Recitals.
A. Pursuant to the Cortese/Knox Local Government
Reorganization Act, Government Code Sections 56000, et seq.,

proceedings were initiated by the Mayor and Common Council in

Resolution No. 85-4R3 on November 18, 1985, for the annexation of
inhabited territory located generally between Waterman Avenue and
14
Pedley Lane and between Third and Ninth Streets, which is legally
15
described in. Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and

incorporated herein as though fully set forth.
B.
Notice of a hearing on the proposed annexation to be
19

held on June 2, 1986, in the City Council Cha~bers at City HaJl,
300 North "0" Street, in the City of San Bernardino at 9:00 a.m.
was duly published by the City Clerk, together with notice that

protests could be filed with the City Clerk by an owner of land
22
or registered voter within the tE'llHo1:Y proposed for annexation.

C.
A hearing of protests having been held as noticed on
24
June 2, 1986, it is determined that 46.49% of the registered
25
voters residing within the affected territory have filed written
26
protests against the annexation.
