BID SPEC: F-86-19
The proposed purchase is for one new hydraulic powered breaker, to be utilized in
daily operations by the Public Services/Street Department. At the request of the
department and in co-ordination with the Equipment Superintendent. appropriate spec-
ifications were prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. The following
is a summary of bids received.

All vendors who NO BID responded with explanations required on the form requirement
in the bid package. All explanations were satisfactory.
Specifications as bid have been revi~wed with the Equipment Superintendent and Dir-
ector of Publ ic Services who concur, that the alternate bid of Johnson Tractor (Teledyne
Model TR220) is too light of a piece of equipment for the Cities requirements. It
is therefore recommended the primary bid of Johnson Tractor (Teledyne Model TR400)
meeting specifications and requirements be accepted for contract. The amount of
$18,200. was included in the 1985/86 Budget for this equipment.

WITH BIO SPECIFICATION F-86-19.

5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNC I L OF THE CITY OF SAN Ill:

SECTION 1. Johnson Tractor is the lowest and best bidder for the ill,
8 nishing and delivery of one new hydraulic powered breaker in accordance with
9 Bid Specification F-86-I9 for the total amount of $18.199.14; pursuant to this
10 determination. the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to issue
II a purchase order for said one new hydraulic powered breaker model Teledyne
12 TR400 to said lowest and best bidder; such award shall only be effective upon
13 the issuance of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids
14 therefor are hereby rejected.
