STAFF REPORT
Bids for this project were opened at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday,
5/27/86.
A total of three bids were received, ra-nging from $42,581.00 to
$57,911.00. The low bid of $42,581.00 is 2.9% under the
Engineer's Estimate of $43,853.00.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost, based
upon the actual low bid price.
Relocation of Water Line
$ 42,581.00
$ 5,760.00
Construction Contract
$ 48,341.00
The cost for incidentals, estimated to cost $14,208.00, will be
borne by the City as provided for in the Engineer's Report.
This project is being financed with funds from the Assessment
District Reserve Fund, and will be repaid over a period of 10
years, at 10% interest per annum on the unpaid blance.
We recommend that a contract be awarded to the low bidder.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A CONTRACT
:-1 TO HATICH CORPORATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON
DALEY CANYON ROAD, FROM CHIQUITA LANE TO ^ POINT 560 FEET TO THE
4 EAST.
5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CO~'110N COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOllOWS:

SECTION 1. Matich Corporation is the lowest responsible bid-
der for construction of street improvements on Daley Canyon Road,
8
from Chiquita lane to a point 560 feet to the east, in accordance
9
wi th Plan No. 6824, for the total amount of $42,581.00, a contract

is awarded to said bidder accordingly, but such award shall be
effective only upon the contract being fully executed by the
parties; all other bids therefor are hereby rejected; and the Mayor
13
is hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract on
14
behalf of the City; a copy of the contract is attached hereto,
15
marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference as fully as
16
though set forth at length.

SECTION 2. The contract authorized by this resolution shall
18

not take effect until fully signed and executed by both parties.
Neither party shall be obligated hereunder unless and until the
20
contract is fully executed and no oral agreement thereto shall be
21
implied or authorized.
