Synopsis of Previous Council action:
2-03-86 -- Authorization granted to have plans prepared, with necessary
supplemental funding to be identified after bids received.
Recommended motion:
1. That the transfer of $28,500, from Account No. 001-329-53402,
"Electrical Charges," to Account No. 001-323-56318, "Central
City Mall Parking Structure," be approved.
2. Adopt resolution.

STAFF REPORT
Bids for this project were opened at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 6-24-86.
Two bids were received, in the amounts of $23,655.00 and $40,317.25.
The low bid of $23,655.00 is 14.0% over the Architect/Engineer's Estimate of
$20,750.00.
Listed below is the total estimated project cost, based upon the
actual low bid price:

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
BONADIMAN-McCAIN, INC. FOR INSTALLATION OF EXPANSION JOINT REPLACEMENTS IN
3-LEVEL PARKING STRUCTURE FOR CENTRAL CITY MALL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Bonadiman-McCain, Inc. is the lowest responsible
bidder for installation of expansion joint replacements in 3-1eve1 parking
structure for Central City Mall, in accordance with Plan No. 6968, for the
total amount of $23,655.00, a contract is awarded to said bidder accordingly,
but such award shall be effective only upon the contract being fully executed
by the parties; all other bids therefor are hereby rejected; and the Mayor
is hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract on behalf of the
City; a copy of the contract is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and
incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at length.
SECTION 2. Execution and Amendments. This contract and any
amendments or modifications thereto shall not take effect or becow~ operative I
until fully signed and executed by the parties and no party shall be \
Obligated hereunder until the time of such full execution. No oral I
agreements, amendments, modifications or waivers are intended or authorized
and shall not be implied from any act or course of conduct of any party.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted
by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof, held on the
