STAFF REPORT
The property owner for those parcels within Parcel Map 6406,
which is located South of Columbia Street, West of "G" Street,
has petitioned the City to vacate a portion of Crescent Street
in order that they may develop the entire parcel to its highest
potential. It is also one of the requirements that the Planning
Department has made for this project.
We have contacted the property owner's partner on June 24, 1986,
and verbally they have agreed to this vacation. We will have
received a written agreement prior to the protest date as per
the partner, Mr. George DeMarco.
It is the opinion of this Division that there is no further
necessity for the streets and alleys, to be vacated by the attached
Resolution, either for present or prospective street purposes.
Therefore, we recommend the vacation on the basis of the following
Findings of Fact:
1. We have 100% consent of the abutting property owners.
.2. The streets and alleys have been determined, by the
Planning and Public Works Departments, to be of no further
necessity to the general public.
3. By virtue of the posting and publication of this proposal,
neither this office, nQr the City Clerk's office, has
received any written protests against the vacation as of
this date.
4. All interested Department Heads and utility companies
have been notified of the vacation.
a) A reservation for sewer facilities within Crescent Ave.
has been provided for an existing sewer main.
We recommend the adoption of the attached Resolution.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall reserve, and nothing
herein shall in any \'lay affect or disturb each (l,nd every
existing easement for sanitary sewer and appurtenant facilities
and for public utility purposes belonging either to the City of
San Bernardino or to any public utility and there is further
reserved ,for present and future general pub1 ic lIti 1 i ty purposes
and for this City an easelnent reasonably necessary to locilu,
sanitary sewer, public utility and appurtenant facilities over,
in, under or across the real property described hereinbefore
along with the right to use, install, maintain, rep<lir, rep'leDe
or renew such facilities and those reserved by Resolution of
Intention No. 86-219.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of San ncrnardiro
shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be rGcordcd
in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Son
Bernardino.
