Synopsis of Previous Commission/Council action:
3/6/86 Ordinance MC-50l -- Imposed a l20-day moratorium on the issuance of
building permits within the area bounded by "E" Street, Rialto Avenue,
1-215 Freeway, and Mill Street; providing for exemptions upon approval of
the Mayor and Common Council.
Recommended motion: (MAYOR & COMMON COUNCIL)

of his landscape plan.

STAFF REPORT
Jack VanderWoude is working with Mr. Snyder in the rehabilitation and expansion of
the Wherehouse and Radio Shack on "E" Street.
They are also proposing an additional 12,000 Square Feet to the rear of the
building. Mr. VanderWoude made the presentation to the Central City South Study
Team on March 20, 1986. He again presented his plan to the Study Team on April
11, 1986.
The Study Team recommended spproval of an exemption to the l20-day moratorium for
Mr. VanderWoude subject to approval of the landscape plan for the proposed
rehabilitation and expansion of the Center.
