STAFF REPORT
A request was received to vacate a portion of "F" Street, North
of Mill Street, from the owners who adjoin the portion to be
vacated relative to a proposed development. This request
represents 30% of those owners who adjoin the street.
All the interested City Department Heads and the Utility
Companies were noti fied of the proposal on March 13, 1986, wi th
a reply due on April 7,1986. The utility companies have
responded and no reservation for public utility easements was
requested.
letters to the adjoining owners were mailed on March 12, 1986,
which included the Southern Pacific Railroad and no reply was
received from them.
The Resol ution of Intention, which sets a protest date of May
19, 1986, has been attached hereto for your action also.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF "F" STREET,
.NORTH OF ~IILL STREET.
4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE 11AYOR AND COl1MON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council of the
City of San Bernardino hereby declares its intention to order
the vacation of a portion of "F" Street, North of Mill Street,
in said City, which said portion is more particularly described
as follows:
The East 30 feet of Lots 10 and II, Block II,
Rancho San Bernardino as per plat thereof
recorded in Book 7 of 11aps, page 2, records of
the County Recorder of San Bernardino County,
State of California.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and Common Council of the
City of San Bernardino, in vacating the above described portion
of said street, elects to proceed under and in accordance with
the provisions of the "Public Streets, Highways and Services
Vacation Law", being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 3. That the hour of 9:00 A.t1. on the 19th day
of May, 1986, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, San
Bernardino, California, be, and the same hereby is fixed as the
time and place when and where all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation may appear before the said

Mayor and Common Council and offer evidence in relation
thereto. For further particulars as to the proposed vacation
of the hereinbefore described portion of said street, reference
is made to that certain map marked "Plan No. 6954" approved

April 21, 1986, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
Ci ty.
SECT ION 4.
That the tity Engineer of the City of San
Bernardino hereby is directed to cause Notices of Street
Vacation to be posted as required by the "Public Streets,
Highways and Services Vacation Law".
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution of Intention and shall cause the
same to be published once a week for two successive weeks in
The Sun, a newspaper published and circulated in the City of
San Bernardino, prior to the date of the above public hearing.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
Bernardino at a
