Recitals. 7 A. The General Plan of the City of San Bernardino was 8 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council by Resolution No. 7336 on 9 August 17, 1964. 10 B. Amendment No. 85-2 to the General plan of the City of San 11 Bernardino was considered by the Planning Commission of the City 12 of San Bernardino on June 4, 1985, June 18, 1985, July 16, 1985, 13 september 17, 1985, october 8, 1985 and October 22, 1985, after 14 legally advertised public hearings, and the Planning Commission's 15 recommendation has been considered by the Mayor and Common 16 council. 17 C. A negative declaration issued by the Environmental Review 18 Committee of the City, complete with an initial study relating to 19 Amendment No. 85-2, and all comments relative thereto have been 20 reviewed by the planning Commission and the Mayor and Common . 21 council in compliance with the California Environmental Quality 22 Act and local regulations. 23 D. The Mayor and Common Council fully reviewed and 24 considered proposed Amendment No. 85-2 at a public hearing held on 25 January 21, 1986. 26 E. The adoption of Amendment No. 85-2 is deemed in the 27 interest of the orderly development of the City and is consistent 28 with the goals and objectives of the existing General Plan. --~ . , . . . . 1 SECTION 2. Negative Declaration. The Mayor and Common 2 'Council hereby find and declare that the proposed amendment to the' I 3 General Plan of the City of Bernardino will have I San no i 4 significant effect on the environment, and the negative 5 declaration heretofore adopted by the Environmental Review 6 committee as to the effect of this proposed amendment is hereby 7 ratified, affirmed and adopted. 8 SECTION 3. Amendment. The Land Use Element of the General 9 plan of the City of San Bernardino is amended by changing the 10 approximately 618.3, more or less, acres bounded by Etiwanda 11 Avenue on the north, the City of San Bernardino City Limits on the 12 west (generally Eucalyptus and pepper), Rialto Avenue on the 13 south, and Rancho Avenue and the Lytle Cajon Flood Control area on 14 the east, as outlined on the map marked Exhibit A, a copy of which 15 is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, from 16 General Commercial, Industrial, Medium-High Density Residential 17 (15-36 dwellings per acre), Medium Density Residential (8-14 18 dwellings per acre), Medium-Low Density Residential (4-7 dwellings 19 per acre), and Open and Conservation (Flood Control) designations 20 to Mobile Home Park (0-10 dwellings per acre), Medium-Low .. 21 Residential (4-7 dwellings per acre), Medium Density Residential 22 (8-14 dwellings per acre), Open and Conservation (Flood Control), 23 Mobile Home Park (14 dwellings per acre), General Commercial, 24 Public/Quasi-Public, and Commercial-Industrial designations. 25 SECTION 4. Map Notation. This resolution and the amendment 26 effected by it shall be noted on such appropriate maps as have 27 been adopted and approved by the Mayor and Common Council. 28 This amendment is designated as General Plan Amendment No. 85-2. -2- ..
