Synopsis of Previous Council action:
None.
Recommended motion:
That the City Engineer and City Clerk are authorized to proceed with
initiating proceedings for the establishment of an assessment district
under the provisions of Chapter 12.90 bfthe San Bernardino Municipal
Code and that the City Engineer is directed to prepare an Engineer's
Report for the proposed maintenance of landscaping on the South side
of Rialto Avenue generally between Eucalyptus Avenue and Pepper Avenue,
in the City of San Bernardino.

STAFF REPORT
A petition has been received by this office requesting the formation
of an assessment district for the maintenance of landscaping along
the South side of Rialto Avenue which is the North boundary line of
Tentative Tract No. 13124. The assessment will include maintenance
of the landscaping, energy and water costs, administration costs and
interest on the City's up-front monies. The signatures affixed to
the referenced petition have been checked and found to represent
the owners of 100% of the area of the property lying within the
proposed boundaries of the district to be assessed for the proposed
maintenance. The developer will be required to up-front the cost
of the proceedings for establishment of the district, as this is a
condition placed upon the district.
