STAFF REPORT
The Traffic Engineering Section received a request to
prohibit parking on Ninth Street, adjacent to the driveway for
the lot designated as 755.
The "no parking" zone was requested to alleviate the
sight restriction caused by semi-trucks parking regularly along
the south side of 9th Street.
An investigation was conducted by staff, which verified
the problem. In order to improve the sight distance at drive-
ways, and to avoid similar requests in the future, we recommend
that parking be prohihited for the entire section between
Valencia Avenue and Bobbett Drive.

5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

parking upon certain designated streets or portions thereof,
Section One, Subsection 24.2 is amended to read:
"24.2 NINTH STREET
(a) Between the west line of 'H' Street and the
east line of 'J' Street on the overpass across freeway and the
railroad tracks.
