STAFF REPORT
A petition has been received by this office requesting the formation
of an assessment district for maintenance of landscaping along portions
of Walnut Avenue, Belmont Avenue and Pine Avenue which border
Tentative Tract No. 11843,11844 and 11845.. The assessment will in-
clude the maintenance of the landscaping, energy and water costs,
administration costs and annual interest on the City's annual up-
front monies. The signatures affixed to the referenced petition
have been checked and found to represent the owners of 100 percent
of the area of the property lyjng within the proposed boundaries of
the district to be assessed for the proposed maintenance. The
developer will be required to up-front the cost of the proceedings
for establishment of the district, as this is a requirement placed
upon the development.
This proposal lies within the boundaries of the Northwest San Bernardino
Landscape Maintenance District, but we are proceeding with this to
have it workingin case the large District should fail for some
reason.
