STAFF REPORT
Bids for this project were opened at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 4-22-86.
A total of 4 bids were received, ranging from $71,997.90 to $86,196.20. The
low bid of $71,997.90 is 3.3 % over the Engineer's estimate of $69,720.00.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost, based upon the actual
low bid price.

(WEST SIDE), FROM LOS FLORES DRIVE TO 39TH

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
5 OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOT.LOWS:
6 SECTION 1. Bob Britton, Inc. is the lowest responsible
7 bidder for construction on Del Rosa Avenue (West side), from Los
8 Flores Drive to 39th street, in accordance with Plan No. 6948 for
9 the total amount of $71,997.90, a contract is awarded to said
10 bidder accordingly, but such award shall be effective only upon
11 the contract being fully executed by the parties~ all other bids
12 therefor are hereby rejected~ and the Mayor is hereby authorized
13 and directed to execute said contract on behalf of the City~ a
14 copy of the contract is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and
15 incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at
16 length.
17 SECTION 2. The contract authorized by this resolution shall
18 not take effect until fully signed and executed by both parties.
19 Neither party shall be obligated hereunder unless and until the
20 contract is fully executed and no oral agreement thereto shall be
21 implied or authorized.

23 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
