ESTABLISHMENT OF A NEW POSITION: RECREATION THERA- PIST, PARKS, RECREATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES - The Committee recommended approval of the position but referred the item to the Personnel Director for review regarding bargaining unit to be assigned to. The Committee expressed some concern that this was a regional service and funding in future years would be totally absorbed by the City and school district. The issue will be totally researched and presented on the January 22 Council Agenda. 2. PROPOSED ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES AND STAFFING OF NEWLY COMBINED PLANNING AND BUILDING DEPARTMENT - The Commit- tee gave conceptual approval to the proposal presented by the Director of Planning and Building. Mr. Reed will coordinate the plan (attached) with Personnel prior to returning to the Committee. 3. FILL VACANT DEPUTY CITY ATTORNEY POSITION - The Com- mittee concurred with the recommendation of the city Attorney to fill a vacant deputy position from applications already received. . . . . 4. The Committee requested a special meeting on Decem- ber 14 at 10:00 a.m. to allow presentation on the unresolved salary for those positions that were not completed previous- ly: City Attorney, city Clerk, City Treasurer, City Adminis- trator, Director of Community Development, Director of Facilities Management and Facilities Maintenance Superinten- dent.
