STAFF REPORT
The City of San Bernardino has received a request from
Expressions Design Studio to limit on-street parking in front of
their business to two (2) hours. The business is located on the
east side of Mt. View Avenue, north of Highland Avenue.
This request was made in order to alleviate the problem of
long term parking by students of the beauty school located across
the street. Students regularly park in front of the requestee's
business all day, thereby eliminating the availability of on-
street parking for his customers.
A Traffic Engineering investigation confirmed this
problem. Therefore, we concur with the solution suggested by the
requestee, and recommend that the 2-hour parking limitation be
implemented.
The requestee will be the only one affected by the
proposed parking limitation.

RESOLUTION NO. 8234 ENTITLED, IN PART, "A RESOLUTION.
ESTABLISHING PARKING TIME LIMITATIONS UPON CERTAIN DESIGNATED
STREETS OR ALLEYS, OR PORTIONS THEREOF. . ;" AND AUTHORIZING THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF A TWO-HOUR PARKING LIMITATION ON MOUNTAIN VIEW
AVENUE, BETWEEN 108 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH LINE OF HIGHLAND
5 AVENUE AND 142 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH LINE OF HIGHLAND AVENUE,
APPLICABLE TO THE EAST SIDE ONLY.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
7 CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: Resolution No. 8234, Section One, Subsection
9 30, MOUNTAIN VIEW AVENUE, is amended to read:
10 "3D MOUNTAIN VIEW AVENUE
11 (a) Between Third Street and Sixth Street.
12 (b) Between Highland Avenue and Twenty-Third
13 Street, applicable to the north side only.
14 (c) Between 108 feet north of the north line of
15 Highland Avenue and 142 feet north of the north line of Highland
16 Avenue, applicable to the east side only. "
