On May 23, 2002, the Redevelopment Committee voted to recommend to the Community Development Commission
that they accept property from the City of San Bernardino located within the Central City West Project Area,

BACKGROUND:
Transfer of ProDerty-Central Citv West
On February 17, 1976, the Central City West Project Area was established as part of the City's
Redevelopment Plan by adoption of the Common Council. The Central City West Project Area
is located at the northeast comer of 5th Street and Mt. Vernon Avenue. The project area is
approximately 4.117 acres. Currently there are four (4) structures within the project area. There
are no homes within the project area, though there are homes in the neighborhood. The project
area is made up of eight (8) parcels as outlined below:

Currently the City of San Bernardino is the title owner of the parking lot identified within the
project area as APN: 138-122-33. The parking lot has been newly resurfaced and stripped.
There is landscaping (grass, shrubs, trees) in place as well as an irrigation system.
As a result of discussion between the City Administrator and the Agency Executive Director, it
was determined that it made sense, from an operational standpoint, that the property be
transferred to the Agency.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
None.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Agency will allocate a total of $5,000 for the yearly maintenance of the parking lot,
landscaping and utilities.
