Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
April I, 2002: Motion adopted that the Director of Finance be authorized to amend the FY 2001-
2002 adopted budget and appropriate $12,300 from the undesignated/unreserved
general fund balance to fund the library lease costs for the Dorothy Inghram Branch
Library (Account No. 105-471-5504).
Recommended motion:
That the Director of Finance be authorized to amend the FY 2001-2002 adopted budget and
appropriate $3,058.30 from the undesignatedlunreserved general fund balance to fund the library
lease costs (security deposit equal to one month's rent) for the Dorothy Inghram Branch Library
(Account No. 105-471-5505).

Authorization to amend the FY 2001-2002 budget to fund the
Library lease costs (security deposit equal to one month's rent)
For the Dorothy Inghram Branch Library. (Agenda Item 81)
During a review of the four (4) month Office Lease between the New Hope Missionary
Baptist Church and the Library Board of Trustees for the Dorothy Inghram Branch Library located
at 1505 West Highland Avenue, it was discovered that the prior fiscal request submitted to and
approved by the Mayor and Common Council did not include the Lease-required security deposit
which is equal to one month's rent.
Therefore, additional funds are necessary in order for the Library Board of Trustees to meet
its lease obligations relative to this Westside branch library. Accordingly, it is requested that the
Director of Finance be authorized to amend the FY 2001-2002 adopted budget and appropriate
$3,058.30 from the undesignatedlunreserved general fund balance to fund the library lease costs
(security deposit equal to one's month's rent) for the Dorothy Inghram Branch Library (Account No.
105-471-5505).
