Recommended motion:
1. That the transfer Account 110. 248-368-3405,
"Unappropriated Reserve," to Account No. 248-368-5504-7079-,
"Storm Drain -- !1ill Street, from Rancho Avenue to Iris Street,"
be approved. and
2. That the plans for inst.allation of a storm drain, from Nill
Street and Rancho Avenue to Chestnut Street and !1acy Street, in
accordance with Plan No. 9696, be approved; and the Director of
Public Horks/City Engineer be authoriz to advertise for bids.

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Plans for installation of a storm drain, from Mill Street
and Rancho Avenue to Chestnut Street and Macy Street, have been
prepared and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The
project consists, in general, of installing a 24 to 36-inch storm
drain, from the existing storm drain at Mill Street and Rancho
Avenue, to the intersection of Chestnut Street and Macy Street.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost.

All costs incurred for this project will be charged to
the $93,500 allocated under Account No. 248-368-5504-7079. It is
recommended that the transfer of $54,500, from Unappropriated
Reserve, be approved to provide the required supplemental funding
to fully finance the total estimated project cost.
Another phase will be needed from Mill Street and Iris
Street to Macy Street and Chestnut Street to fully complete this
storm drain system. This phase will be included in the contract
documents as an additive alternate, in the event that sufficient
funds can be identified after the bid opening.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
