.ynopsis of Previous Council action:
Resolution No. 96-253, ratified on August 5, 1996, by the Mayor and
Common Council, authorizing the Police Department to apply and
accept a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant, to upgrade the Computer
Aided Dispatch and Records Management System (CAD/RMS) utilizing
Local Law Fnforcement Block Grant (LLEBG) funding.
i ~ecommanded motion:
Tpat the Mayor and Common Council set a Public Hearing for 10,00 a.m.
on Monday, July 7, 1997, to ratify the expenditure of the awarded
LLFPG funding to upgrade the CAD/RMS system for the Police Department.

STAFF REPORT
As recipient of LLEBG Program award, the Police Department is
reauired to hold a public hearing. At the hearing, persons shall
be given an opportunity to provide written and oral opinion
regarding the intended use of grant funds to the Mayor and
Common Council.
