MOTION:
That the Mayor and Common Council establish June 16, 1997, at 2:00 p.m., as the date and time for
the Public Hearing to review and adopt the second amendment to the 19%11997 Second Year Action
Plan component of the Consolidated Plan.

Set the Public Hearing Consolidated Plan Related Items
On May 6, 1996, the Mayor and Common Council approved and adopted the Second Year Action Plan
component of the 1995-1999 Consolidated Plan, which contained 1996/1997 Fiscal Year projects and
activities. The Second Year Action Plan was approved by HOD in July 1996.
Because an amendment is being proposed to the Consolidated Plan HOD requires a public hearing on certain
activities related to the Plan. The purpose of the public hearing that would be held on June 16, 1997, would
be for the Mayor and Common Council to revise funding as follow:
To approve the creation of a Demolition Program and move $230,000 in Mortgage Assistance
Program (MAP) funds Community Development Block Grant (CDBG); and.
To establish a MAP Program under the HOME Investment Partnership Act Program in the amount
of $230,000.
Recommendation
Based on the above, it is necessary and appropriate to hold a public hearing on the proposed amendment to
the Second Year Action component of the Consolidated Plan.
Staff recommends adoption of the form motion.
