10-04-93 - Resolution No. 93-382 adopted authorizing the Mayor to
execute application to Economic Development Administra-
tion for a grant.
Resolution No. 94-68 adopted authorizing execution of
approval and award of grant.
Plans approved and authorization granted to advertise
for bids.
Resolution No. 96-262 adopted awarding a contract for
drilling 2 wells at the low bid price of $235,132.00.

STAFF REPORT
Bids for furnishing and installing pump equipment for the
two (2) new water wells, at the San Bernardino Trade Center and
International Airport were opened at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, 2-11-97.
A total of 5 bids were received, ranging from $89,863.00
to $119,977.80. The low bid of $89,863.00 is 18.8% under the
Engineer's Estimate of $110,700.00.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost, based
upon the actual low bid price:

All costs incurred for this project will be charged to
Account No. 242-362-5504- 1993. Seventy- five percent of the cost
will be financed from the grant from the Federal Economic
Development Administration, with the 25% local matching share
provided by the Inland Valley Development Agency.
No City funds will be used to finance any portion of the
cost for this project.
We recommend that a contract be awarded to the low
bidder.
