STAFF REPORT
Bids for the modification of traffic signals on Fifth
Street, from "H" Street to Sierra Way, were opened at 2:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, 1-28-97.
A total of 7 bids were received, ranging from $47,610.00
to $69,428.00. The low bid of $47,610.00 is 39.3% under the
Engineer's Estimate of $78,400.00.
An additive alternate was included in the bid documents
for modification of the traffic signals at Fifth Street and "F"
Street. The low bidder submitted a price of $9,530.00 for the
additive alternate.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost, based
upon the actual low bid price:
