On November 20, 2003, Redevelopment! Authority Committee Members Anderson, Suarez and Estrada unanimously
voted to recommend that the Community Development Commission and the San Bernardino City Housing Authority
consider this action for approval.

BACKGROUND/ CURRENT ISSUE:
On June 19,2003, the Authority Committee recommended approval of the Authority Bylaws, certain
Procedural Policies, including appointment of certain officers and other positions of the Authority
and on July 7, 2003, the San Bernardino City Housing Authority ("Authority") approved the
Committee's recommendations.
Moreover, on July 7, 2003, the Authority approved that certain administrative and management
services will be provided by the Redevelopment Agency Staff, including the provision of day-to-day
Staff resources necessary to operate and administer functions and operations of the Authority; in
addition, the Community Development Commission granted, and the Authority accepted, an initial
$5,000 Grant to off-set minor operational expenses of the Authority.
Subsequently, from time to time, the Authority has met to discuss and consider Authority acquisition
matters. Specifically, in conjunction with the Meadowbrook Single Fami)( Housing Development by
ANR Industries, ("Project") (between Sierra Way, Allen, Rialto and 2" Street), the Authority has
authorized Staff to proceed to obtain appraisals of several vacant parcels located within the confines
of the Project boundaries. In order to engage the services of an appraiser, potentially acquire land, or
incur any other costs, it is necessary for the Authority to obtain resources to undertake such activities.
It is therefore recommended that the Agency grant the Authority $150,000 from the Agency
Low/Mod Housing Fund.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
None.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$150,000 from the Agency Low/Mod Housing fund (2003/2004 EDA Budget) to be transferred to the
Authority Acquisition and Administration Budget.
