Synopsis of Previous Commission/Council/Committee Action:
12-02-96 - Authorization for expenditure continued for 90 days (in
order for a source of funding to be identified in the mid-
year budget. review) .
ReCOmMended Motion:
1.
That the expenditure of $26,000 from San Bernardino Associated
Communi ty Financing Authority BO:1d Issuance Fees, be approved to
finance the cost for installation of landscaping and irrigation
facilities in the Northpark Boulevard Median, west of University
Parkway.
2.
and
That the plans for installation of landscaping and irrigation
facilities in the Northpark Boulevard r.ledian, west of University
Parkway, in accordance with Plan No. 9600, be approved; and the
Director of Public Works/City Engineer be authorized to advertise
for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Advertise for Bids - Landscaping in Nortbpark Blvd. Median
On Monday, April 7, 1997, the attached staff report was reviewed and tabled by the Community
Development Commission due to the cost of the project. The Commission noted that the item
could be revisited pending approval of the City's budget.

Approval of Plans and
Authorization to Advertise for Bids
Installation of Landscaping in
Northpark Boulevard Median
Plans for the installation of landscaping in the Northpark
Boulevard median have been completed and the project is ready to
be advertised for bids.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:

This estimate is based upon the understanding reached with the
University that the water for this landscaping will be provided
from their existing irrigation system.
