STAFF REPORT
Bids for rehabilitation of pavement on Tippecanoe Avenue,
from Hospi tali ty Lane to I-lis sion Creek, were opened at 2: 00 p. m. ,
Tuesday, 8-19-97.
A total of 6 bids were received, ranging from $269,151.10
to $297,762.55. The low bid of $269,151.10 is 3.4% over the
Engineer's Estimate of $260,314.00.
Below is the total estimated project cost, based upon the
actual low bid price.
Construction Contract $ 269,151.10
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #7057) 26,031.00
liater Heter Fee (I-inch) 5,985.00
Sub-Total $ 301,167.10
Contingencies (9%)I 27,332.90
TOTAL ESTII~TED PROJECT COST $ 328,500.00
All costs incurred for this project will be charged to
the $329,000 allocated under Account No. 126-369-5504-7057.
A policy for installation of handicap ramps is being con-
sidered by the Legislative Review CortI:\ittee.'All corners within
the limits of this proj ect have handicap ramps, except for one.
A change order will be issued to the Contractor to authorize the
installation of this ramp.
We recommend that a contract be awarded to the low
bidder.
