ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 1991 KNOWN AS THE "LAND USE ZONING ORDINANCE"; PROHIBITING THE
ISSUANCE OF A BUILDING PERMIT IN VIOLATION OF ANY CITY LAW; AND
PERMITTING AN APPEAL THEREFROM TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION WHICH
WOULD STUDY POSSIBLE ALTERNATIVE PROPOSALS.
THE MAYOR AND CO~10N COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 1991 Section 20.2 Subsection C
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"C. No building permit shall be issued for a building,
structure, or improvement which would be in violation of or con-
trary to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1991, other applicable
ordinance or law, or lawful condition or regulation of the City of
San Bernardino. In the event the Superintendent of the Building
and Safety Department declines to issue a building permit pursuant
to the provisions of this subsection, the applicant may appeal suc~
decision to the Planning Commission which shall review, study and
suggest possible alternative proposals that would be in compliance
with such ordinances, law, condition or regulation."
