ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 3695 ENTITLED IN PART "AN ORDINANCE . . . ADOPTING THE UNIFORM
BUILDING CODE, 1976 EDITION. . ."; PROVIDING FOR A WAIVER OF
BUILDING PERMIT FEES FOR PRESERVATION, RESTORATION OR REHABILITA-
ITION OF CERTAIN HISTORIC BUILDINGS, AND FOR PROPERTY DAMAGED DUE
TO NATURAL DISASTER.
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 3695 Section 3 which amends
certain sections and provisions of the Uniform Building Code,
1976 Edition, is hereby amended by amending said Section and
Section 303 (g) of said Code to read as follows:
"(g) Waiver of Building Permit Fees.
I 1. Historic Preservation - No fees shall be charged
I for permits issued for repairs, alterations or additions for the
I preservation, restoration or rehabilitation of a building or
II structure which is a qualified historical building or structure
I; pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 18955, a qualified
I
ii' historical property pursuant to Public Resources Code Section .'

115031, a registered historical landmark pursuant to Public Resource,

I: Code Section 5021, or a point of historical interest pursuant to I

!public Resources Code Section 5022.5.

2. Natural Disaster Damage - No fees shall be

charged for permits issued to owners of property located in an

area designated as a disaster area by resolution of the Mayor
24
and Common Council to repair damage caused by natural disaster."
