ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 3575 ENTITLED IN PART "ORDINANCE . . . REGULATING THE SOLICI-
TATION OF FUNDS FOR CHARITABLE AND RELIGIOUS PURPOSES WITHIN THE
CENTRAL CITY MALL. . ."; AND ADDING A REFERENCE TO CHAPTER 5D IN
THE NOTICES TO APPEAR PROVISION.
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 3575 Section 11 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 11. CITATIONS. Security Guard personnel, who
shall be off-duty or retired police officers or reserve police
officers, employed by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
San Bernardino pursuant to an Agreement between said Agency and
the City of San Bernardino, relating to a Security Guard Program,
are authorized and empowered to arrest and issue notices to
appear for violations of the provisions of Ordinance Nos. 120,
821 Section 707, 821 Section 712, and 3575, relating to the

Central City Mall and public areas in, adjacent to, or immediately
18
surrounding said Mall, pursuant to Section 836.5 and Chapter 5C
19
and 5D of Part 2, Title 3 (Sections 853.6, et seq.) of the Penal
20
Code of the State of California."
