CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
Staff Report
Subject:
A resolution authorizing an Annual Purchase Order, with three single year renewal options,
to Arrow Auto Air and Transmission for automotive, light and medium duty truck
transmission service, repair and overhaul for the City's fleet.
Background:
Notices inviting bids for the FY03/04 annual purchase of Transmission Service,
Bid F-04-005 were sent to nine (9) vendors, to the San Bernardino Area Chamber of
Commerce, advertised in The Sun newspaper and on the City Web site. Four (4) responses
were received. Bidders were required to bid repair services for the most common
transmissions used in automotive, light and medium duty truck transmission service, repair
and overhaul for our City's fleet. The lowest best bid was submitted by Arrow Auto Air and
Transmission, located in San Bernardino.

RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AN ANNUAL PURCHASE ORDER, WITH
THREE SINGLE YEAR RENEWAL OPTIONS, TO ARROW AUTO AIR AND
TRANSMISSION FOR AUTOMOTIVE, LIGHT AND MEDIUM DUTY TRUCK
TRANSMISSION SERVICE, REPAIR AND OVERHAUL FOR THE CITY'S FLEET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Arrow Auto Air and Transmission provides services, repairs
and overhauls of automotive, light and medium duty truck transmissions. Pursuant to
this determination, the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized to issue an Annual
Purchase Order, with three single year renewal options, to Arrow Auto Air and
Transmission in an amount not to exceed $28,000 as a result of Bid No. F-04-05.
SECTION 2. The Purchase Order shall reference this Resolution No. 2003-
and shall read, "Transmission and air services" P.O. No.

$28,000 and shall incorporate the terms and conditions of the Contract, which is on file
in the City Clerk's Office.
SECTION 4. The authorization to execute the above referenced Purchase

Order is rescinded if not issued within sixty (60) days of the passage of this resolution.
