On behalf of the Mexicali Centennial Committeei, which has
been formed to plan and supervise all events during 2003 tending to the
celebration of Mexicali's 100th anniversary, we hereby invite you and
other members of your community to our festivities to honor Mexicali's
achievements during the past he century, a land of hard working
people, where agriculture and industry meet in harmony and enrich a
valley.
2003 will be a great year and greater even with the opportunity
of sharing such historical memoirs with our neighbors and friends near
and far away. This year we plan to hold more than 600 events to
commemorate our ancestors and builders of this valley, and as we put
it, that enamored the sun and enchanted this land with life.
The greatest event of this year, is "Pavarotti Sin Fronteras" and its
going to be this next saturday October 18th, in the espectacular Laguna
Salada, wich is the most beautiful prove that the desert and the city of
Mexicali can merge. Your presence and others of your community, will
certainly greatly enhance such moments.
