Staff Report
Subject:
A resolution authorizing an Annual Purchase Order, with three single year renewal options,
to Pride Automotive of San Bernardino for automotive, light and medium duty truck
transmission service, repair and exchange for the City's fleet.
Background:
Notices inviting bids for the FY06/07 annual purchase of Transmission Service,
Bid F-07 -04 were sent to eight (8) vendors, to the San Bernardino Area Chamber of
Commerce, advertised in The Sun newspaper and on the City Web site. Eight (8)
responses were received. Bidders were required to bid repair services for the most
common transmissions used in automotive, light and medium duty truck transmission
service, repair and exchange for our City's fleet. The lowest qualified bid was submitted by
Pride Automotive, located in San Bernardino.

Division Fiscal Year 2006/2007 Budget, Account No. 635-341-5173, in the amount of
$35,000.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AN ANNUAL PURCHASE ORDER, WITH
THREE SINGLE YEAR RENEWAL OPTIONS, TO PRIDE AUTOMOTIVE FOR
AUTOMOTIVE, LIGHT AND MEDIUM DUTY TRUCK TRANSMISSION SERVICE,
REPAIR AND EXCHANGE FOR THE CITY'S FLEET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Pride Automotive provides services, repairs and exchanges
of automotive, light and medium duty truck transmissions. Pursuant to this
determination, the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized to issue an Annual
Purchase Order, with three single year renewal options, to Pride Automotive in an
amount not to exceed $35,000 as a result of Bid No. F-07-04.
SECTION 2. The Purchase Order shall reference this Resolution No. 2006-
and shall read, "Transmission service, repair and exchanges" P.O. No.

to exceed $35,000 and shall incorporate the terms and conditions of the Contract.
SECTION 3. The authorization to execute the above referenced Purchase
Order is rescinded if not issued within sixty (60) days of the passage of this resolution.
