STAFF REPORT
This Resolution confirms the Assessment Roll and approves the Assessment
Diagram Map No. 997 for the maintenance of landscaping in portions of
vacated Chestnut Avenue between Ohio Avenue and Irvington Avenue.
On August 6, 1990, Resolution of Intention No. 90-336 was adopted which
instituted formal proceedings to form an assessment district in the Chestnut
Area for the maintenance of landscaping.
All the requirements of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code were fullfilled,
and on September 6, 1990, the Resolution ordering work was adopted. The
charges for the establishment of the district total $2,515.67 which will be
paid from the up-front money deposited by the Developer.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT ROLL
NO.997 FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF FUTURE LANDSCAPING IN PORTIONS OF VACATED
CHESTNUT AVENUE BETWEEN OHIO AVENUE AND IRVINGTON AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO, AND APPROVING ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM MAP NO. 997.
wtffiREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino
on August 6, 1990, adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 90-338, to order
the work described therein to be done under the provisions of Chapter 12.90
of the San Bernardino City Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council on August 6, 1990,
approved
the Engineer's Report on the proposed assessment district, which report
includes a proposed assessment roll and Assessment District Map relative to
Assessment District No. 997: and
WHEREAS, incidental expenses totaling 52.515.87 have been incurred
for the establishment of the district, which must be spread over the
individual parcels of said assessment district, the City has computed and set
forth in attached Exhibit "A" which is incorporated herein by reference the
first year assessment for each individual parcel. all of which are as set
forth on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, is hereby declared to be the Assessment
District No. 997 Roll for 1990-91 for the Chestnut Area Landscape
Maintenance District.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SA~
BERNARDINO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and
determine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of
land within Assessment District No. 997 are correctly set forth on
Assessment Roll No. 997 for the fiscal year 1990-91, Chestnut Area
Landscape Maintenance District, designated as Exhibit "A" for total costs of
establishing the district which Exhibit is attached hereto and is
incorporated herein by reference, and the Mayor and Common Council do hereby
confirm said assessments.
