The nomal street vacation fee of $750 has been waived as this vacation is pursuant to an agreement between the City of San Bernardino and San Bernardino County Flood Control District dated July, 1977, for the construction of the South "E" Street bridge at Fairway Drive. The property in question lies Southwesterly of Fairway Drive and Westerly of South "E" Street. When Fairway Drive was re-aligned at its juncture with South "E" Street it created surplus right-of-way which was to be returned to the Flood Contro 1 Department. As the City has no use for the subject property for present or future street and highway purposes. and as the Streets and Highways Code allows summary vacations for highways superseded by relocation, Staff recommends that the City summarily vacate the subject property. This will eliminate the necessity of going through the entire vacation procedure for the abandonment of the easement under the provisions of the Streets and Highways code. 11-13-90 2 =NJ' Ii 1 'lit I o . ..". ." i! 1 -----+' I _..J I ..1 1 .1 'I 'k - I \.. 1IJ I~ · , ~.
