STAFF REPORT
City staff completed an audit of the parking citations on file and
found a total of 373 unpaid parking citations, issued between July
1983 and December 1987. We have made two or more attempts to
obtain the names and addresses of the registered owners,
however, the Department of Motor Vehicles has been unable to
provide this information.
It is requested that we be authorized to purge our files of these
outstanding delinquent parking citations and write off the bail and
penalties in the amount of $8177 .{)O.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AUTHORIZING THE
DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES MANAGEMENT TO CANCEL CERT~IN UNCOLLECTIBLE
PARKING CITATIONS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Recitals.
The Director of Facilities
Management is currently attempting to purge its files of all
uncollectible delinquent parking citations, issued between July
1983 and December 1987. Citations, as set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, were
issued to 373 vehicles and the Department of Motor Vehicles has
been unable to provide the needed information for collection.
SECTION 2.
Application.
The Director of Facilities
Management is hereby authorized to cancel those certain
uncollectible parking citations as set forth in this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
Bernardino at a
