STAFF REPORT
General Telephone company (GTE) has an existing Remote Switching
Unit located at 9645 South Waterman Avenue. The property is
located outside the corporate limits of the City on the west side
of Waterman Avenue, just south of Pioneer Street.
GTE is proposing a toilet room addition to the facility due to GTE
personnel being at the facility for regular maintenance and
inspections. GTE requests authorization to convert their facility
to the City's sewer system.
GTE's parcel is adjacent to the city limit on Waterman Avenue, but
is not adjacent to the city limit on the west side of Waterman
Avenue.
A toilet facility such as the one proposed by GTE would only
generate from 20 to 50 gallons per day of flows when personnel are
working at the location.
The Board of Water Commissioners originally denied the request for
service in May, 1990. In November, 1990, the Board was asked to
reconsider the request, and approved the request SUbject to the
owner entering into an agreement Whereby they would annex the
property to the City of San Bernardino.

RESOLUTION RO.
WHEREAS, General Telephone Company, owner of the property
known as 9645 South Waterman Avenue, outside the corporate limits
of the City, have requested sewer service for the addition of a
toilet room at their facility at said location; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners considered the
request for sewer service to said parcel and recommends approval,
subject to the owner entering into an agreement Whereby they agree
to annex the property to the City of San Bernardino.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
That the property owned by General Telephone Company, located
at 9645 South Waterman Avenue, Assessors Parcel No. 281-011-53 be
authorized to connect to the City's sewer system, subject to
annexation of said property to the City of San Bernardino and the
payment of all applicable fees and charges.
