Back2I'ound: The City received a petition from the residents of 2856, 2868, 2882, and 2894 N. Los Feliz Drive to extend the existing Residential Parking Permit Program to the area in front of their homes. These addresses are located on the west-side of Los Feliz Drive between Mirada Road and 29th Street. Currently, the restriction on the west side of Los Feliz Drive, is limited to the area north of 29th Street, however, residents, living within the restricted area, park in the unrestricted area in front of the requestor's homes limiting their use of on-street parking. The Residential Parking Permit Program was established in this area, in October of 2004 in order to resolve several concerns relative to on-street parking by patrons of the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino. At that time, the residents that are now requesting the restriction did not sign the petition for various reasons. Consequently, the program was not implemented in the area in front of their homes. Since all of the residents concur with the restrIctIon, staff recommends that the attached Resolution be approved authorizing the extension of the restriction to the area in front of the requestor's homes. An effort was made to contact the residents of the area south of the requestor's homes to determine if they would also be interested in extending the Parking Permit Program to their area. However, the requestors were either unsuccessful in contacting them or the residents of these homes are not interested in the restriction at this time. Financial Impact: The estimated cost of $300 for installing the "No Parking" signs will corne from Account No. 001-402-5111 (Street Maintenance). Recommendation: Adopt Resolution. 2 o o o Los Feliz Drive - west side- between Mirada Road and 29th Street Proposed Residential Parking Permit Program is?J?J Location of Proposed New Residential Parking Permit Program EAVA\.Qt:!.~ j ~i ~ ~ '" lYVIS,A8LVD E ClTio'US Sf f29nt Sf MlllMA ST _ 28TH Sf DAn 2700 ! ~Il( ~,l( ~>( ?
