M... ~ j CITY OF SAN BERN~INO - REQUEST FcQ COUNCIL ACTION o o , 10 I l..~ STAFF REPORT There are currently six parking stalls on the ground level of the five-level parking structure which are designated for motor pool vehicles, as authorized by Resolution No. 89-395. The Fleet User's Committee has been monitoring the usage of the six vehicles assigned to the motor pool. The Committee has determined that the number of vehicles can be reduced to four. Therefore, the proposed resolution will delete the designation for motor pool vehicles only from the two southerly spaces. These spaces will be reserved for City vehicles. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 89-395 ENTITLED, IN PART, "A RESOLUTION. .ESTABLISHING PARKING RESTRICTIONS FOR THE CENTRAL CITY MALL AREA AND THE FIVE-LEVEL CIVIC CENTER PARKING STRUCTURE. "TO REMOVE TWO MOTOR POOL VEHICLE SPACES FROM THE FIRST LEVEL OF THE FIVE- LEVEL CIVIC CENTER PARKING STRUCTURE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Resolution No. 89-395 which restricts parking for the Central City Mall area and the five-level Civic Center 9 parking structure, Section One, Subsection (B), is amended to 10 read: 11 "B. Reserved Parking in Five-Level Civic Center Parking 12 Structure. It is unlawful for any person to stop, stand, or park 13 a vehicle in a reserved or handicapped parking space in the Five- o 14 Level Civic Center Parking Structure located north of Second 15 Street and south of City Hall, unless that vehicle bears an o 16 authorized parking sticker or handicapped placard. 17 1. On the first level of the Five Level Civic Center 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Parking Structure, the following parking spaces shall be reserved for vehicles bearing authorized parking stickers: (a) The most northerly twenty-four (24) parking spaces situated in the first row (Row A), counting the rows in sequence from the west side of the parking structure, are reserved for City vehicles, the first four of which are specifically designated for Motor Pool vehicles, and the seventh space and eighth space of which are specifically designated for Building Maintenance vehicles. 9/17/90 AW:rs o 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 RESO: H'l. THE (b) The most northerly twenty-five (25) parking spaces situated on the west side of the second row (Row B), and the most northerly twenty-five (25) parking spaces situated on the east side of the second row (Row B), counting the rows in sequence from the west side of the parking structure, are reserved for Ci ty vehicles; the first two spaces of which on the east side are specifically designated for Building Maintenance vehicles. 2. On the second level of the Five-Level Civic Center 11 Parking Structure, the following parking spaces shall be 12 reserved for vehicles bearing authorized parking stickers: o 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 o 9/17/90 (a) The most southerly eleven (11) parking spaces following the first three parking spaces, situated on the west side of the fourth row (Row D), counting the rows in sequence from the west side of the parking structure, are reserved for Heritage vehicles. (b) The most southerly fourteen (14) parking spaces situated on the east side of the fourth row (Row D), and the most southerly fourteen (14) parking spaces situated in the fifth row (Row E), counting the rows in sequence from the west side of the parking structure, are reserved for Heritage vehicles. 3. THE nine (79) parking spaces situated in the second row (Row B), and all of the thirty-seven (37) parking spaces on the west side of the third row (Row C), counting the rows in sequence from the west side of the parking structure, are reserved for Maruko Hotel vehicles. (b) The most northerly fourteen (14) parking spaces situated on the east side of the third row (Row C), counting the rows in sequence from the west side of the parking structure, are reserved for City Board and Commission vehicles and the most southerly twenty- three (23) parking spaces situated on the east side of the third row (Row C), counting the rows in sequence from the west side of the parking structure, are reserved for the Maruko Hotel vehicles. (c) The most northerly twelve (12) parking spaces situated on the west side of the fourth row (Row 0), counting the rows in sequence from the west side of the parking structure, are reserved for the Council and Staff vehicles and the most southerly thirty-one (31) parking spaces situated on the west side of the fourth row (Row D), counting the rows in sequence from the west side of the parking structure, are reserved for Maruko Hotel vehicles.
