STAFF REPORT
The American Association of Code Enforcement is holding their
annual conference and two-day training program in Dallas
Texas from October 1 through November 3, 1990. This
Organization was founded to improve Code Enforcement
strategies and exchange code enforcement information, while
improving the professionalism of code enforcement.
Debra Daniel has been the provisional Code Enforcement
Supervisor since April, 1990. Attending this Conference will
be beneficial to the city, as Ms. Daniel will have the
opportunity to meet a wide range of code enforcement people
with the responsibility for the administration of
environmental, housing and zoning codes.
The cost for attending the Conference is approximately
$1,079.28.

Please note that although this particular Conference was not
specifically, approved in this year's Budget, funds are
available. It was approved in this year's budget for me to
attend the International Conference of Building Officials in
Denver, Colorado. However, I felt this money could be better
utilized by staff. Total amount for the Conference in Denver
is $2,310.00
