the Director of Public Works/City Engineer authorized to
advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for construction of handicapped ramps at various
locations have been prepared by the Engineering Division and the
project is ready to be advertised for bids. Twenty-Eight handi-
capped ramps will be constructed at selected locations where
they will provide the greatest benefit.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 35,600
Engineering & Insp. (W.O. #1868) 7,800
Sub-Total $ 43,400
Contingencies (15%) :!: 6,500
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 49,900
An amount of $50,000 was allocated in the 1988/89 Budget
from Community Development Funds, under Account No. 121-544-
57961, to finance the costs incurred for this project.
We recommend that the plans be
authorization granted to advertise for bids.
