Synopsis of Previous Council action:
2/5/90 - Resolution 190-45 adopted which approved the IIlE!IIiJership of a Solid Waste
Task Force required under AB 939 and designating Councilwcman Norine Miller
as the City representative and Mayor Holcoob as alternate.
4/20/90 - Resolution 190-143 adopted which approved IIlE!IIiJership of the Solid Waste
Task Force required under AB 939: and repealed Resolution 190-45.
Recommended motion:
'ft1at Councilwcman Norine Miller be designated as the City representative to the
Solid Waste Task Force required under AB 939.
'ft1at Manuel P. Moreno, Jr. be designated as the altemate IIlE!IIiJer to the
Solid Waste Task Force required under AB 939.

STAFF REPORT
Resolution #90-45 was adopted on February 5, 1990 which
designated Councilwoman Norine Miller as the elected
representative to the Solid Waste Task Force. Due to
concerns expressed by cities in the County as well as the
County relative to the proposed membership of the Task Force,
a revised resolution was prepared in April which addressed a
membership structure acceptable to all parties. This
resolution was adopted on April 19, 1990 repealed resolution
#90-45 did not include the City's representative and
alternate. Although Mayor Holcomb was originally designated
as alternate to the Task Force, Manuel P. Moreno, Jr. is
recommended to serve in this capacity.
Approval of the form motions will formalize the membership of
this Task Force as required by resolution #90-143.
