STAFF REPORT
The general prevailing wage rates for construction
crafts, as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations of
the State of California, were made applicable to contracts for
public projects within the City of San Bernardino by adoption of
Resolution No. 12846 on 6-20-77. However, this resolution
incorporated by reference, as Exhibit "A," the General
Prevailing Wage Determination filed in the office of the City
Clerk on 6-1-77.
New wage determinations are issued periodically as
deemed appropriate by the Director of Industrial Relations.
Resolution No. 12846 does not clearly state that the latest
determination will apply. This has not created any problems,
since the Standard Specifications clearly state that the current
wage rates shall be paid.
The proposed resolution rescinds Resolution No.
and provides that the latest wage determination shall
effect.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That under and pursuant to Section 1770 of
the Labor Code of the State of California, the Director of
Industrial Relations of the State of California has determined
the general prevailing rates of per diem wages in the City of San
Bernardino for each craft or type of workman or mechanic; and the
Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino do make
the latest edition of said rates applicable to contracts for
public works projects of said City.

SECTION 2.
The provisions of this resolution are

applicable to contracts awarded by the Mayor and Common Council
of the City of San Bernardino for the construction of public

works projects, except maintenance work.
